Quick answer: Find the exact game in the 25-link directory, then read its note before changing browser settings. We link to separate projects; we do not run their servers or host game files. A loading page is not proof that a full play session will work.
1. The link opens the wrong page
Compare the directory title with the destination's own name. On our October 10 check, “Unreal Tournament” opened a page that calls itself Urban Terror, while “Skate Rust” opened the unrelated TERRORDOTNET site. These are source-label mismatches, not browser faults. The GTA 5 entry is an archive snapshot, not a verified working game. Compare the link with @RadiantOpti's list reply before trying another entry.
2. The project asks for files
“Runs in a browser” does not mean the project supplies game data. The Skate 3 fan page says it streams data from your own converted copy. WebXash's README requires your own Half-Life or Counter-Strike `valve`/`cstrike` files. A file picker may therefore be expected. Read the project's instructions; we provide no game files or conversion steps. See our Skate 3 guide.
3. BO1 reports a browser or graphics error
The BO1 project's capability checker requires a current desktop Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, keyboard and mouse, site storage, WebAssembly features, and WebGL 2 graphics. It rejects mobile devices. If it reports a missing feature, first update a supported desktop browser and open the project directly over HTTPS. If the message mentions `WebAssembly.Suspending`, try another supported current browser; the project's checker ties that symptom to missing JSPI support. Do not turn off browser-wide protections to force a game to run.
If graphics are unavailable or slow, check whether Chrome's Use graphics acceleration when available is on under Settings → System, then restart Chrome. Google's instructions document that setting. The BO1 checker also suggests updating the graphics driver or trying another computer when GPU features are missing. These steps cannot guarantee a frame rate.
4. Loading stalls, the site is unreachable, or a warning appears
The BO1 developer explains that maps load data and textures; its configuration separates downloads by map. A first-load progress bar may be normal. Allow time on a stable connection and check available site storage. If the URL itself fails, retry later or on another network and look for a maintainer notice. Historic outage reports do not prove a current outage.
If a browser or security service displays a phishing, certificate, or malware warning, stop and check the destination with the project's owner or a trusted source. Do not bypass the warning because a link appeared in the X thread. Avoid clearing browser site data as a first step: some projects keep downloaded packs or saves there.
Quick questions
Why does BO1 say “desktop required” on my phone?
That is the BO1 project's stated restriction. A different mobile-friendly Zombies project does not make this specific link mobile-compatible.
Does a BO1 progress bar mean an installer is downloading?
The developer describes map and texture loading within the website. That is separate from installing an executable.
Will every link work if I enable graphics acceleration?
No. Graphics are only one possible requirement; a wrong URL, missing owned files, browser feature, network failure, or external site's own issue needs a different response.
Can this directory repair an outside game?
No. Use its source link and note to identify the project, then consult its maintainer. Our BO1 guide records what that developer has published.
